INK Active Drier
Ink additive for accelerating oxidative drying
Application
INK Active Drier is delivering oxygen when usually there is hardly any available, allowing normal drying times on poor or non-absorbent substrates.
With a reaction of water, oxygen is released inside of the ink film layer. The ink dries from the inside to the outside, faster than it would without additive.
Special Properties
- Addition: 1-3% in weight
- Decreases drying time on non-absorbent substrates noticeably
- Improves scratch and scuff resistance of inks
- Reduces waiting time until post print finishing
- Lowers risk of marking in the pile
Your Benefits
Reducing drying times on poor or non-absorbent substrates is important for processing the printed matter in time. Drying times under challenging conditions can decrease as much as 50-80%. Still, please consider that even with adding INK Active Drier, drying to the core on a non-absorbent stock can sometimes take more than 48 hours.
